Boarding Tips

  • All pets must be current on vaccines.  Dogs must have DHLPP, Bordetella & Rabies.  Cats must have Rabies, Feline Leukemia & FVRCP
  • You are welcome to bring your own food if your pet is on a special diet or if he doesn't tolerate changing foods well.  Please bring in a sealable container.
  • You are welcome to bring clean bedding from home; but please, no full-size blankets or cedar filled pillows.
  • 1-2 toys are allowed - stuffed animals & raw hide treats are not advised
  • eye, ear & oral (if taken in food) medications can be given at no extra charge -please bring all medicine in original container with your pet's name and instructions.
  • Be prepared to provide an emergency phone number - just in case!
  • When you're nervous or apprehensive your dog can sense it, and then become nervous, too.  Try putting peppermints in your pocket befor coming to the kennel; this keeps your dog from "smelling" your nervousness.
  • Please bring your dog on a leash.
  • Please advise us if you think your pet may bite.
  • Please note that your pet may sleep more for 1-2 days after boarding; they get alot of stimulation here!
  • Please do not over indulge your pet with treats or special foods he's not used to before or after boarding - this may cause diarrhea & sometimes vomiting.
  • Be careful not to let your dog drink too much water at one sitting after you get him home - this may cause "bloat" which can be fatal.
  • Even though our kennels are sanitized daily (at least once), your dog may still acquire an odor; therefore, bathing is recommended on pick-up day, but only upon request & for an additional charge.

*  NOTE:  NO MANDATORY BATHING; however, bathing recommended on pick up day.
